From reminiscing about how your love unfolded to how it reached the celebration of what your love is today. Together, we will make it more special than you could have ever imagined.

My vision of a secular wedding

Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment.
It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.

My name is Marylin and I am the founder of A Lovely Day.

I’ve become humanist celebrant (wedding officiant or marriage celebrant) following the conception of my own wedding secular ceremony.

Planning my wedding in 2013 triggered a revelation as these questions kept occurring: Why is it so complicated to get married in a non-religious way? And how do I have a more personal and unique ceremony than one given by the registry office?

This is where my adventure began.

With my discovered passion for weddings and my love for writing, I realized that I could use my own experience to help couples create their own unique, intimate and tailor-made wedding ceremonies, or renewal of vows.

Then I became a full-time wedding celebrant, and I could’ve never asked for anything better.

We were over the moon with our ceremony which went exactly as we wanted it to. Our guests were also delighted, and it inspired quite a few of those present. Hi Marylin, our month of coaching together is at an end and it feels quite strange. I don’t doubt for a second that you will be successful. You are enthusiastic, hard-working, generous, ambitious, realistic, optimistic, organised, full of drive and curiosity. You are made for this profession, it shows, people sense it, it’s as clear as day. It would be fantastic if all my clients were like you, because you were really a pleasure to work with. Your clients are very lucky people. And those who place their trust in you won’t be disappointed!
